Spencer Group has spread the word about International Women in Engineering Day via social media, by showcasing brilliant examples of female employees who are forging great careers in engineering, including Designer Engineer Kelly Bush and Site Engineer Hannah Liddle.

Kelly said:

“I’ve worked hard and taken every opportunity that came my way to get where I am today, but I had no real idea what I wanted to do when I started exploring apprenticeships in my final year at school.

“Events like International Women in Engineering Day are so important because they make women aware of all the options.”

Hannah added:

“As a Site engineer I’ve learnt so much across so many disciplines and I’ve been given the chance to work on some major rail projects across the country.

“I get a real sense of achievement when a project reaches completion.”
